Shaped like a long rail car the State Street Village is the new student housing at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

State Street Village was designed by world renown architect Helmut Jahn. The building was completed in 2003, and actually consists of three buildings with a common facade. The building constructed of stainless steel and sound sound-attenuating concrete and glass walls (east side of building is very near the elevated train tracks)
