Found this siren by accident one afternoon. I nearly walked into it as I strolled along the perimeter of a soccer field located in a park in Sunnyvale, CA. The siren is located in between two tall olive trees that hide the siren almost completely. You can not see the siren from a distance, it is so entwined in branches. I'm sure when the siren was originally placed there, it was a prominent structure. Now, it is a rusty relic hidden from sight. Seemed fitting and alittle spooky too. Footnote: Kids were playing soccer in the background as I took a couple pics. I wondered if they knew that this ominous bit of history was in the far corner of their field.
