A big chess board in Third Place Books' retail food outlet area.
The pieces are approximately 2 feet high. The day I took the picture they were in disarray. Probably from a sore loser storming off! ;-)
There's a two-person timer. I don't play chess so I don't know what the official name is for this device.
There was a sign posted near the chess board requesting that people treat the board and pieces gently. It also requested that parents not use the board as a play area for kids.
