This observation tower is located in a position to overlook the Nisqually delta, a National Natural Landmark. Use the Brown Farm Dike Trail to access the overlook. It's landmark webpage describes the delta as "an unusually fine example of an estuarine ecosystem, and the only natural resting area for migratory waterfowl in the southern Puget Sound region."
There is a $3 fee to use the refuge. No dogs are allowed due to the sensitivity of the area. Parking and trailhead are found at N47 04.333 W122 42.726.
The structure is currently closed due to damage, but there are plans to repair it soon. However, there are still great views at this spot from the ground.
