Four poster and Family Rooms available. All en-suite with colour TV. A warm welcome awaits you with log fires, low oak beamed ceilings and flagstone floors with old fashioned memorabilia, including the famous Girt Clog which dates back to 1820. This footwear was made especially for a local, and when he died, it was kept next door, in a glass cabinet, in the Brown Cow inn, which is nowadays a holiday cottage. When the Brown Cow Inn closed, the clog was moved to the Queen's Head.

A selection of real ales are always available, some made locally. Although the Queen's is a Robinson's pub. Food is locally sourced and excellently prepared.

The south Cumbrian coast is only 20 kilometres away at Georgian town of Grange-over-sands.
