La fondation de la paroisse de Saint Thomas Moore date de l"année 1944.

L'église fut construite entre 1950 et 1951 par l'entrepreneur A. Janin et Compagnie Ltée, selon les plans de l'architecte Joseph Sawyer (1874 –1965).

Verdun est un quartier et arrondissement de la ville de Montréal au Québec. Il est situé sur la rive sud-ouest de l'île de Montréal et borde le fleuve Saint-Laurent, en aval des rapides de Lachine. Verdun est délimité au nord par l'autoroute 15 et le pont Samuel-De Champlain, à l'ouest par le canal de l'Aqueduc et au sud-ouest par l’arrondissement de LaSalle, englobant au passage l'Île des Sœurs. Sa population est de 70 377 habitants en 2021.

This dated building (an English-speaking Roman Catholic church) is located on Moffat Street in the Verdun neighborhood and borough of Montreal, Quebec.

The parish of Saint Thomas Moore was founded in 1944.

The church was built between 1950 and 1951 by the contractor A. Janin and Company Ltd., according to plans by architect Joseph Sawyer (1874–1965).

Verdun is a district and borough of the city of Montreal, Quebec. It is located on the southwest shore of the Island of Montreal and borders the St. Lawrence River, downstream from the Lachine Rapids. Verdun is bordered to the north by Highway 15 and the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, to the west by the Aqueduct Canal, and to the southwest by the borough of LaSalle, including Nuns' Island. Its population was 70,377 in 2021.
