I don't know much about Art Deco architecture but I do know my breath was taken away when in a little Texas town I stumbled across this masterpiece. A snow storm had brought everything to a hault so I didn't see the insides of the buildings, I didn't see it with its neon lights turned on, and I didn't even see it in sunlight but I was still impressed.

The building was built in 1936 as a Conoco service station and diner and now serves as the local Chamber of Commerce. It's in tremendous shape. Shamrock has something to be very proud of and it's worth a visit to Shamrock if only to see this building.

If you do visit then please add pictures here! I'd especially love to see the neon.
