The A 1793 bound stone lies by the side of the road near to the ruins of the old Newhouse Inn between Hemsworthy Gate and Cold East Cross at the Northern foot of Rippon Tor.

The stone marks the meeting place of the boundaries of Widecombe, Ashburton and Ilsington parishes.
