DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1962 AT THOMSON. AT THOMSON, NEAR THE EAST CORNER OF A SMALL PARK NEAR THE WEST END OF THE GEORGIA RAILROAD STATION, NEAR MAIN STREET CROSSING, 42 1/2 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL, 70 1/2 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE MAIN STREET, 14 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTH CORNER OF THE STATION, 45 FEET EAST OF THE EAST CORNER OF A CONFEDERATE MONUMENT, 1 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF A BRICK SIDEWALK, 1/2 FOOT ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE TRACK AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 2 INCHES ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE GROUND.
