I don't know if the author of the photo chose the name for this puzzle on purpose, but behind the ship's dock is the tower of the former waterworks - the so-called Štitkovská tower - which is a very common subject of drawings and paintings. But right next to the tower is a building called Mánes, which was built between 1928 and 1930 for the Society of Artists. Nowadays it houses the main exhibition hall and several and multifunctional spaces for screenings, lectures, workshops, auctions, smaller exhibitions.
"You will find Rašín Embankment on the right bank of the Vltava River. It consists of a sequence starting with the Vyšehrad tunnel, through Výton, where it crosses the Railway Bridge over to Palacký Square ending at the Palacký Bridge.
In addition to transport the so-called náplavka – the pedestrian zone – runs along most of its space. On the waterfront there is a marked cycle route and it also serves as a great walking promenade. Here, you will find several docks for cruise boats. It also regularly hosts farmers markets where you can buy products from the Czech farmers. The waterfront is also a thoroughfare to the operation of trams and cars. The length of the waterfront is roughly 950 m.
The Mánes Association of Fine Artists (Czech: Spolek výtvarných umelcu Mánes or S.V.U.; commonly abbreviated as Manes) was an artists' association and exhibition society founded in 1887 in Prague and named after painter Josef Mánes.
The Manes was significant for its international exhibitions before and after World War I that encouraged interaction between Czech artists and the foreign avant-garde. It played an important role in the development of Czech Cubism and Rondocubism. Between 1928 and 1930, Manes built a complex with a restaurant, club, showroom and offices at the site of the Štítkovský Mill and water tower on the Vltava. The architect of the 1928 Manes pavilion was member Otakar Novotný."
