The Crow's Nest is a great spot for a nice hike in the woods out to the Potomac River. There are four separate trails that start here, they all lead you through the old growth forest and to an overlooks along Potomac or Accokeek Creek. There is ample parking here but please be considerate of park hours if you park within the gated area.
