Frente a la iglesia parroquial de la Asunción en Autilla del Pino hay una cruz en memoria de los emigrantes del pueblo y que no pudieron regresar.

Hay una placa con un poema que reza así:

El Emigrante

Hombres llenos de ilusión
emigraron de esta Tierra
cruzando tierras y mares
con la juventud acuestas.
Un joven gentil y apuesto,
dejaba escrito este verso
dictado por su conciencia:

Autilla yo no te olvido,
mi querer siempre tendrás,
fue un abandono sentido
tú me sabrás perdonar.
Aún suena en mis oídos
las voces de mis amigos
y la voz de aquel maestro
en la lección de los libros;
los consejos de mi madre
con caricias y cariño,
recuerdos inolvidables
cuando me sentía niño.
Quiero pasear tus calles
y el famoso Mirador,
quiero abrazar a mis gentes
y disfrutar de ese sol.

Quiero volver a mi sitio
ya me siento muy mayor,
quiero recordar mi infancia
cuando jugaba al balón,
las tabas, tanga, canicas,
pagando nuestro deber
con cartones o con pitas.

Se nublaron sus deseos
una tormenta le hirió
truncando sus sentimientos
y aquella viva ilusión.
Como soplo de ventisca,
como ráfaga del viento,
sintió que su aliento frío
le traspasaba su cuerpo;
y allá quedó para siempre
con la mirada en los vientos.
Las campanas repicaron
con sonido de lamento
para tantos emigrantes
que no tuvieron regreso.

Autilla siempre esperando
con brazos en Cruz abiertos,
y un homenaje de amor
con su sentido recuerdo.
