Esta fuente está situada en la Glorieta de don Telmo Lacasa. Es antiquísima la utilización de esta zona como lugar de esparcimiento o recreo, al que las fuentes documentales anteriores al siglo XX denominaban "el Prado"

Acerca de esta fuente, cuenta la leyenda, que como once siglos antes de nuestra era hubo en Alcañiz una gran sequía, por lo que se organizó una peregrinación que partió desde el centro de la población y no habían andado 4 km cuando se encontraron a una loba con las patas mojadas, la siguieron y ésta les condujo a la fuente. Por ello en principio se le denominó "fuente Lupina".
La obra actual se realizó en 1883 en sustitución de una fuente anterior muy elogiada y valorada por sus contemporáneos, los caños son figuras de leones por cuyas bocas brota el agua.
Esta junto al río Guadalope y dentro de la denominada Glorieta que consta de un paseo fluvial, bar, parque, templete de música y mini anfiteatro.
