Right from Stoughton on State 27 at 2.7 m. is the junction with Bay St. At 36 Bay St. (L) is Cobb's Tavern, a long two-story frame structure, over 200 years old, with a red-brick end-wall and ells in the rear.

Cobb's Tavern is located on one busy road. Tough to get a picture without a car photobombing the shot. I briefly met the owner of the house, explaining why the photographs, which she accepted. When it was a post office, Cobb used to give the kids on the way to school, mail for them to deliver at the various houses.
