This memorial arch was erected in the centre of a shopping precinct in Feathersone in 1993 to commemorate the centenary of the deaths of striking miners killed by the military.

The arch consists of pit props supporting the top of the arch which is made of half a winding wheel as used to winch men and equipment up and down a coal mine.

At the base of the arch is a plaque with details of the commemoration.
