The 11th Street Bridge has an unusual configuration. There are a pair of trusses on each side of the pedestrian walkway on both sides of the bridge. The trusses are connected by lateral bracing between each pair. The bridge was designed and built in 1915 by the Eastern Bridge and Structural Company with help from the Turners Falls Power Company. The bridge was last rehabilitated in 1996.

The bridge carries by vehicular and pedestrian traffic across the canal. The length of the bridge is 205 ft., the largest span over the canal is 167 ft., the vehicular deck width is 24 ft. and the two pedestrian sidewalks are 7 ft wide each. The height above the canal is 4 ft.
