The painting, titled "Virgin and Child in a Landscape," is located at the Cleveland Museum of Art, on East Boulevard in Cleveland, Ohio. The painting was featured on a 2013 postage stamp for the United States Postal Service. It was issued by the USPS on October 13, 2013 for the Christmas season.

The original painting, by Flemish painter Jan Gossaert (c. 1475-1532) and an anonymous Flemish landscape painter, is on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art in the Italian Renaissance section (Section 118). The Cleveland Museum of Art is free and open to the public (see the museum website for hours).

The materials of the painting are oil on wood. The plaque next to the painting includes the following information: "Among the first Northern Renaissance artists to study in Rome, Jan Gossaert is often credited with successfully assimilating Italian Renaissance style into the art of Northern Europe. That influence is visible here in the sculptural modeling of the figures and the architectural framing elements. This painting probably originally formed the left half of a diptych intended for private devotion, hinged at the right side to a portrait of a donor engaged in perpetual prayer to the holy image. The Latin inscription on the frame (painted by Gossaert himself) translates as: 'Mother, may your contemplation be our reconciliation.'"
