"Museum the Women's House Zwolle
The Women's House is a private museum in the heart of the capital of Overijssel, snugly located under the Peperbus. Foundress Aleida Greve (1670-1742) stipulated in her will that her home on Grote Aa (Melkmarkt) was made suitable after her death in 1742 to accommodate single, elderly women who were members of the Reformed Church. The ground floor of the Women's House has been a museum since 1987 and is open to the public by appointment. You walk through special interiors from three centuries, from 1680 to 1980, from rich to simple.
The museum offers various guided tours for both small and large groups. In addition, you have come to the right place for lectures on various topics from the history of the Women's House. A nice outing for young and old, man and woman.

The Women's House was closed for more than two years due to an extensive conservation restoration.
