PT: "Palácio da bolsa neocllássico, de planta rectangular e alçados de dois pisos e mezzanino, com arcada e frontão triangular no corpo central da fachada principal, denotando certa influência do edifício hospitalar de Santo António. O gabinete da Presidência é decorado em estilo renascença; a sala dos retratos e a sala da Direcção ao gosto francês de Luís XVI; a sala de audiências do tribunal do comércio utiliza uma gramática da renascença francesa; o salão árabe um gosto revivalista multicolor e rico, a mais espetacular realização romântica do estuque portuense. A pintura dos brasões do pátio revela várias mãos e alguns erros de representação, como a bandeira americana, que tem riscas a menos e estrelas a mais para a época; desconhece-se a razão da representação do brasão da Pérsia, visto Portugal não ter relações comerciais com aquele país na época, e o restauro recente pôs a descoberto o brasão do Shogunato do Japão, que terminou na década de 60 do séc. 19, e que foi depois substituído pelo brasão da de Saxónia (atual Alemanha), em homenagem ao rei D. Fernando II. O brasão português monárquico foi também alterado após a implantação da República.
