The commemorative plaque to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002, is mounted on a wooden post adjacent to a pedestrian footbridge.
The footbridge known as the Golden Jubilee Bridge crosses the Wistaston Brook near to a small carpark on Wistaston Green Road.

The plaque is inscribed as follows;
GOLDEN JUBILEE BRIDGE
in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee of
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
6th February 2002

A Wistaston Conservation Group Initiative


The Wistaston Conservation Group installed the pedestrian footbridge on Wistaston Green Road, to bye-pass an unsafe road crossing between two major footpaths. The project was funded using Waste Recycling Group Ltd landfill tax money.
