Albert Steigenberger (* 3. November 1889 in Deggendorf; † 19. Oktober 1958 in Frankfurt am Main) wurde als Sohn eines Textilkaufmanns geboren. Er erhielt im kleinen Familienunternehmen seine Ausbildung, sammelte 1912 in den USA praktische Erfahrungen und modernisierte nach der Rückkehr das väterliche Unternehmen, dem er eine Spinnerei hinzufügte.
Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg stieg er ins Stromversorgungs- und Grundstücksgeschäft ein, übernahm 1930 als Schuldtitel das Hotel "Europäischer Hof" in Baden-Baden und schuf aus diesen Anfängen eine Kette luxuriöser Traditionshotels. Zur A. Steigenberger Hotelgesellschaft KGaA gehörten bis zu seinem Tod unter anderem das "Drei Mohren" in Augsburg, der "Frankfurter Hof" in Frankfurt am Main, "Ritters Park-Hotel" in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, der "Badische Hof" in Baden-Baden und das "Park Hotel" in Düsseldorf. Daneben betrieb Steigenberger eine Weingroßhandlung und Sektkellerei, eine Wäschefabrik und Großgaststätten in Frankfurt und Stuttgart. Die Erben führten die Hotelgruppe bis 2009, mittlerweile gehört sie als "Deutsche Hospitality" zur chinesischen Huazhu Group.
Das Grab von Albert Steigenberger befindet sich im Gewann IV 125 auf dem Frankfurter Hautfriedhof.

Albert Steigenberger (* 3 November 1889 in Deggendorf; † 19 October 1958 in Frankfurt am Main) was born the son of a textile merchant. He received his education in the small family business, gained practical experience in the USA in 1912 and, after returning, modernised his father's business, to which he added a spinning mill.
After the First World War, he entered the electricity supply and property business, took over the hotel "Europäischer Hof" in Baden-Baden as a debtor's title in 1930 and created a chain of luxurious traditional hotels from these beginnings. Until his death, the "Drei Mohren" in Augsburg, the "Frankfurter Hof" in Frankfurt am Main, "Ritter's Park Hotel" in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, the "Badischer Hof" in Baden-Baden and the "Park Hotel" in Düsseldorf were all part of the A. Steigenberger Hotelgesellschaft KGaA. In addition, Steigenberger operated a wine wholesaler and champagne cellar, a linen factory and large restaurants in Frankfurt and Stuttgart. The family heirs ran the hotel group until 2009, in the meantime it belongs to the Chinese Huazhu Group as "Deutsche Hospitality".
Albert Steigenberger's grave is located in Gewann IV 125 at Frankfurt's main cemetery.
