EN Installed in a former dwelling of the donkeys who worked at the quarry, the extraordinary museum of Ansouis, born from the will of Georges MAZOYER is composed of two parts
The exterior
We see reconstructions of the fish that lived in the Luberon 10 million years ago.
Interior
Here, one can see in a succession of medieval vaults a magnificent collection of corals, shells, fish brought together for 40 years by Georges MAZOYER. The entire collection is of course labelled, documented.
On the walls, you can see his works, paintings, ceramics, stained glass windows that offer you an immersion in the underwater world during a surprising, instructive and fun visit where dream meets reality.

The creator of the museum
Diver, artist, collector, Georges MAZOYER has created here a real extraordinary museum so the most unusual part remains the reconstruction of an underwater cave.
