PT: "A meio desta encontra-se este edifício de três pisos construído no século XVI durante o reinado de D. Sebastião, para o exercício da justiça desta vila.

De traço simples, sóbrio e austero, é feito em alvenaria granítica. Está encimado por um pequeno campanário de um sino, à esquerda. As aberturas do edifício não apresentam quaisquer elementos decorativos, excepto o escudo de Armas Reais atribuídas a D. Sebastião entre as janelas dos pisos segundo e terceiro.

No piso térreo não havia qualquer porta, uma vez que era aqui a cadeia, por isso a entrada realizava-se pelo lado esquerdo, precedida de um arco de volta perfeita."
