This artistic welcome sign is on the shore of the lake, on a beautiful viewpoint, it offers us the view of the lake, an invitation to go there.

"Christina Lake is a British Columbia community located in the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional District on Highway 3, 19 km east of Grand Forks and 70 km southwest of Castlegar.

Once an important fishing ground for the Sinixt, Sanpoil, Okanagan and other tribes, pictographs can still be found on the northeast shore of Christina Lake.

The village and lake were named for Christina McDonald, daughter of fur trader Angus McDonald, who ran the Hudson's Bay Company trading post at Fort Colville from 1852 to 1871.”
