The Railway Station of timbered framed construction, horizontally clad in weatherboards, with gable ended roofs which feature timber finials. The central pavilion faces the railway station with a straight verandah dual pitched off the main roof and supported on five posts. The two ends pavilions are transverse to the central building with their gables facing the railway line. The centre roof features a chimney which is painted with its corbelling in an contrasting colour.
The station was officially opened on 20th October 1882 and closed to passengers in 1991.
