This traditional Fife milestone can be found on the eastern side of the B9131 St Andrews to Anstruther road three miles south of the former town near Prior Muir.

The white painted stone features as cast-iron cap with the lettering in black abbreviated cursive script. The place names to the south are Anstruther, Kilrenny, and Pittenweem, all on the Firth of Forth coast. To the north it is St Andrews, Leuchars, and Newport, the latter situated on the Firth of Tay opposite the city of Dundee.
