Technically, the address here is 4100 Morris Rd, but the book exchange faces Timber Creek Elementary School in the 1900 block of Timber Creek Rd.
Other than missing the door window and being ready for a little maintenance after five years, this one is in fairly decent condition. Standing on two posts, it is made of stained wood with a mono pitched roof whose shingles need replacement, secured by a metal sliding latch. Below the door is a small plaque that notes it as an Eagle Scout Project, placed here in 2017 by Jeff Ring. It's well-stocked, and that it's under a tree probably helps to protect the books inside from the weather.
Unfortunately, there's no hint as to Mr. Ring's troop. Assuming he was a Boy Scout in Flower Mound, there are multiple active troops there, and it's odd that, among so many Internet references to Eagle Scouts and Eagle Scout Projects in the city, his name isn't mentioned. His LinkedIn profile notes his status as an Eagle Scout, and he's still in Flower Mound and working as a firefighter in Allen, TX.
