There are two historic jails on the Leon County Courthouse Square, both listed on the NRHP along with the courthouse.

"The 1918 jail displays Medieval military architectural elements. In 1918 the Southern Structural Steel Company of San Antonio was contracted to build a new jail, according to plans they furnished. The building was completed and accepted that year."


It is unknown when the new "Justice Center" was erected at 606 East St Marys St. and the 1918 jail became home to Leon Co. Workforce Solutions.
