The Hugo Golf Club is a par 36 9-hole golf course located in Hugo, Colorado. It features native buffalo grass fairways and sand greens. The sand greens make Hugo relatively unique among Colorado golf courses; I am only aware of one other course in the state that features sand greens. Green fees for the Hugo Golf Club are $10 and can be deposited in a small metal canister near the first tee box. A rake has been placed at each green and the sand should be raked after putting. The course is in a fairly rural part of Colorado and it is unlikely that you will encounter any other people during your round; nevertheless, the course hosts some tournaments and scrambles during the summer months. Announcements for tournaments and scrambles can be found on the course’s Facebook page.
