Trap Uitkijkheuvel Kotterbos - Almere - NL - Outdoor Stairways on Waymarking.com

Deze uitkijkheuvel is in samenwerking tussen Staatsbosbeheer en de gemeentes Almere en Lelystad tot stand gekomen.
Boven op deze heuvel heeft u een mooi uitzicht over de natuur van de Oostvaardersplassen.

Het bouwen van een stad of het ontwikkelen van natuurgebieden in Flevoland kent zo zijn uitdagingen. Vaak is er zand tekort voor de aanleg van wegen en huizen. Dit zand vinden we onder het kleipakket in de bodem onder ons. Ook uit de te maken grachten en aanleg van kabels en leidingen houden we grond over. Omdat er behoefte was aan een uitkijkpunt over de Oostvaardersplassen op loopafstand voor de bewoners van Almere (Buiten) is van de overgebleven grond uit de ontwikkeling van Almere (Buiten) deze mooie uitkijkheuvel gemaakt.

This lookout hill was created in cooperation between the Forestry Commission and the municipalities of Almere and Lelystad.
Atop this hill, you have a beautiful view of the nature of the Oostvaardersplassen.

Building a city or developing nature reserves in Flevoland has its challenges. Often, there is a shortage of sand for the construction of roads and houses. We find this sand under the clay layer in the soil below us. We also have soil left over from the construction of canals and cables and pipes. Because there was a need for a lookout point over the Oostvaardersplassen within walking distance for the residents of Almere (Buiten), this beautiful lookout hill was made from the leftover soil from the development of Almere (Buiten).
