The cemetery is affiliated with Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, which is one block to the south. The cemetery is on a hill and in the middle is a large white cross with a plaque memorializing those who served in World War I. The plaque is titled, "Our Defenders 1917-1919." Below the title is a list of 42 names, believed to be members of Sacred Heart Parish who served in the Great War.
