Op de kruising van de Hemmestraat en de Frontzate bevindt zich de ruïne van het station van Ramskapelle. Tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog deed het dienst als observatiepost langs de versterkte spoorlijn. Van hieruit had men een uitstekend zicht op de onder water gezette IJzervlakte.

Bij de ruïne herinnert het kunstwerk Verbroedering 25-12-1914 van William Livermore aan het Kerstbestand van 1914. Het stelt de verbroedering voor van een Engelse, een Franse en een Duitse soldaat op kerstavond in het eerste oorlogsjaar.

At the intersection of Hemmestraat and Frontzate are the ruins of Ramskapelle station. During the First World War, it served as an observation post along the fortified railway line. From here, one had an excellent view of the flooded IJser plain.

Near the ruins, William Livermore's artwork Fraternisation 25-12-1914 commemorates the Christmas Truce of 1914. It depicts the fraternisation of an English, a French and a German soldier on Christmas Eve in the first year of the war.
