’s Morgens is er altijd veel bedrijvigheid in de stedelijke Vismijn. Meerdere keren per week is er aanvoer van verse vis die ter plaatse geveild wordt. De vis die wordt verhandeld kun je meteen kopen in de vishandels op de Kaai of proeven in één van de lokale visrestaurants. Promovis vzw ondersteunt de Nieuwpoortse visserij.

Wandel langs de kade en ontdek de Surcouf, een authentiek en gerestaureerd vissersvaartuig, dat op het droge wordt getoond. De Surcouf viste op tong, pladijs, kabeljauw, tarbot, griet, schar, bot, wijting en garnaal.
