Památník je venován obetem výbuchu metanu na dole CSM, ke kterému došlo 20.12.2018. V dole zahynulo 13 horníku, dalších 10 bylo zraneno. Bylo to nejvetší dulní neštestí, ke kterému došlo v Ceské republice od roku 1990. Památník ve tvaru žulové slzy vytvoril sochar Martin Kuchar v roce 2019.
The memorial is dedicated to the victims of the methane explosion at the CSM mine, which occurred on December 20, 2018. 13 miners died in the mine, another 10 were injured. It was the biggest mining accident in the Czech Republic since 1990. The monument in the shape of a granite teardrop was created by the sculptor Martin Kuchar in 2019.
