Baker Mayfield's statue in Heisman Park is the sixth, with a seventh for Kyler Murray to come at a later date. The artist depicts Mayfield in a running position, right leg down, left leg bent. He cradles the football high up with his right hand against his chest, and the left arm straight out. He wears the Sooners uniform with the number 6 on both sides. The larger-than-life statue shows him with his headband on. The figure is made of bronze, and the base appears to be marble.

Baker Mayfield arrived at Oklahoma unannounced as a walk-on. He left as one of the most decorated players in program history.
The quarterback, who grew up a Sooners fan in Austin, Texas, finished his career with a season for the ages in 2017. He presided over the country's top offense and led the Sooners to their third straight Big-12 championship and a College Football Playoff appearance while being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, a unanimous All American and OU's sixth Heisman trophy winner.
Mayfield led the nation in 2017 in completion percentage (.705), points responsible for (296) and yards per pass attempt (11.5) and broke his own Football Bowl Subdivision single-season record for passing efficiency rating (198.9).
He also set the OU single-season record for total offense (4.938 yards) and finished second in school single-season history in completion percentage and touchdown passes (43). All told, he accounted for 49 touchdowns and just six turnovers.
The landslide Heisman winner - his 2,398 points were 1,098 more than the second-place finisher - did all he could to cement the honor in a Nov. 4 contest at Oklahoma State in which he set an OU record with 598 passing yards in a 62-52 win. He was 24 of 36 through the air, threw for five touchdowns and ran for a score.
Known for his on-field exuberance, Mayfield also won that season's Maxwell Award, Davey O'Brien Award, Manning Award, Earl Campbell and Tyler Rose Award and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, and was named AP and Sporting News Player of the Year.
Mayfield, who played as a freshman at Texas Tech before transferring to OU, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 National Football League Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
