Permits are required for Colorado State Parks. You can purchase a day permit at the Visitor's Center or at one of the entrance kiosks. Daily vehicle pass is $10.

We hiked the Voodoo Trail, which is at the south side of Lake Pueblo State Park, on the north side of Highway 96. There is a steep gravel drive to a small parking area at the trailhead. This is a mostly flat trail, unless you want to cross the water hazard (not an option when the water level is high). The trail length is 8.7 miles if you take the loop. There is very little shade along this trail, and a lot of blowing tumbleweeds.
