The grave of Job Cooper, who was accidently killed in The North Stafford Coal & Iron Company Colliery in 1867, is located in the churchyard of Saint Martin's Church on the corner of Audley Road and Crown Bank, in the village of Talke.

Saint Martin's Church is situated on the corner of Audley Road and Crown Bank, in the village of Talke. It is and Anglican Church in the in the Diocese of Lichfield.
The building is Grade II listed and described as a Parish Church built in 1794 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. The full detailed description can be seen at the following link: (visit link)

Job Cooper was accidently killed aged 12 years, whilst working in the colliery owned by the North Stafford Coal & Iron Company.

The grave stone is still standing but weathered and the inscription is difficult to read in parts.

The inscription that can still be read is as follows;

HE WAS ACCIDENTLEY KILLED IN THE MINES
BELONGING TO THE NORTH STAFFORD
COAL AND IRON COMPANY

AGED 12 YEARS.
