Robert Martin bought 1200 acres of land from the U.S. Government. He set aside eight acres to build a church for the community. This building has been used almost constantly since 1837. At times it was a Methodist Church; at times Baptist. It is now non-denominational. All Christians are welcome.

Joshua 24:15 "But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord"
