The preserved solo silo is within the Cumberland Land Trust's 81-acre Scott Brook Preserve along the Bluebird Trail. (See link for map.) It is a short distance from the trailhead and parking at Bruce Drive.

The wire structure is set on a circular concrete pad, measures about 42 feet around, and the walls are 18 feet tall. It is covered by a standing seam conical roof. A six-foot door frame allows interior access. Affixed above the opening is a sign that reads:

HISTORIC
CORN CRIB SILO
GINGRAS PIG FARM
1970'S -1980'S

THIS SITE WAS ONCE A THRIVING FARM WITH UP
TO 300 PIGS ON THIS 10-ACRE SITE. SOMETIME
AFTER THE FARM CLOSED, THE TOWN OF
CUMBERLAND ACQUIRED THE PROPERTY FOR
PRESERVATION. IN THE YEAR 2011 THE
CUMBERLAND LAND TRUST, BLACKSTONE RIVER
WATERSHED COUNCIL, AND THE CUMBERLAND
CONSERVATION COMMISSION COLLABORATED TO
DISMANTLE THE RUN DOWN BUILDINGS INCLUDING
ANOTHER GRAIN SILO, SEVERAL PIG PENS AND A
LARGE 30 BY 60 FOOT BARN. AN ADJOINING 71
ACRES WAS ACQUIRED FROM DANIEL WEBSTER.
PICTURES OF THE FARM'S BUILDINGS AND ITS
DEMOLITION CAN BE VIEWED ON THE WEBSITE:
