Fredrikskyrkan is known for its beautiful carillon which includes 35 bells and plays 4 times every day. The carillon is in the south tower. Via the church's website, you as a citizen can participate in deciding which melodies to play.
The carillon from 1965 is a donation by the lawyer Povel Grönvall.
The largest watch weighs 650 kg and the smallest 20 kg.
The carillon can be played both manually and automatically.
The Fredrik Church was built in the baroque style in 1720 and the church was consecrated in 1744. The spiers at the top of the church towers were not completed until 1758. The church was designed by the architect Nicodemus Tessin the Younger and replaced a temporary wooden church.
The church is one of the most important monuments of the classical Roman baroque in Sweden. Together with the city of Karlskrona, it is inscribed on the World Heritage List.
