The decorative mosaic design is located on the headstone at the grave of Mary and Frederic Gater, in the churchyard of Saint Martin's Parish Church.

The mosaic design is mounted in a rectangular shape with a semi circular top on the left hand side of the headstone. It features a yellow cross with a blue background surrounded with a yellow edge and is constructed from small square tiles.

The inscription on the gravestone reads as follows;

IN LOVING MEMORY OF
MARY
THE BELOVED WIFE OF
FREDERIC GATER,
OF THE WILLOWS, TALKE,
WHO DIED AUGUST 14TH 1933,
AGED 68 YEARS.
ALSO OF WINIFRED
THEIR BELOVED DAUGHTER
WHO DIED MARCH 5TH 1893,
AGED 7 MONTHS.

I SHALL BE SATISFIED WHEN I WAKE
WITH THY LIKENESS

ALSO FREDERIC

(The headstone has sunk and the bottom of the stone is obstructed but the bottom line looks as if it could read - THE BELOVED HUSBAND OF MARY??)
