Dinosaur State Park is a park in Rocky Hill, CT. In 1966, construction workers were clearing the land to build a new state building when they uncovered preserved dinosaur footprints. Construction was halted and this dinosaur trackway was preserved with a museum on top of it for generations to come. Now people can come to the museum and view not only the dinosaur tracks but exhibits on geology and some live reptiles!
This rock and mineral display is in the museum's discovery room, to the left of the admissions desk. Museum admission is $6 and well worth it.
