The Lawrence County Bank Building is located at 100 W. Commercial Street, in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri. The Romanesque Revival style building was constructed in 1892 from designs by Jerome B. Legg, a St. Louis architect. The building was heavily damaged during a tornado in May of 2003 that caused the collapse of the rear wall and necessitated the removal of part of the corner tower. Despite the damage, the building retains a significant amount of its historic materials. The design and most of its prominent architectural details are intact, and the building conveys its significance as important commercial building in downtown Pierce City.
