Taken from the website, "Norrisville United Methodist Church was founded in 1857 as a family chapel. In 1980 Norrisville UMC joined with Ayres' Chapel UMC to form the Norrisville Charge. In 1997, St. Paul UMC joined the Norrisville Charge and the three churches functioned as a charge conference until June 2013. In June 2013, Ayres' Chapel UMC left the charge conference to become a cooperative parish with Jarrettsville UMC"
