The Cougar Plaza is at the SE corner of the first intersection that people see when they drive into town on WA-270 E. There is a cougar statue in the center and a brick wall at the back with a low marble barrier in front engraved with the names of people and businesses that donated money to help fund the formation of the plaza and serves as a donor monument. The brick wall contains the cougar head logo surrounded by the text "City of Pullman Cougar Plaza."
The cougar head logo used to be carved into brick but was replaced in the Fall of 2021 with a cougar head logo made of metal, mounted on wood, and backlit by a red light. The cougar statue and entire plaza are decorated during the holidays. Several small protests have been held at this location.
This is a small plaza and the posted coordinates lead to a walkway into the plaza off the sidewalk. There are two benches in the plaza - one with a back and one without.
