There is a ground monument is a 4" x 4" concrete post with name Arthur Penner on a metal plate. Metal plate on tree next to ground monument reads "Arthur Pinner C.S.A.".

This is the burial site of Arthur Pinner. He was a confederate soldier that lived nearby and the story goes that he fired upon Union Soldiers and was killed by them. They buried him and his horse at this site on a road in Ocala National Forest."Here lies Arthur Pinner. The Story goes: A man told me fixing the site that Arthur Pinner lived by the Lake across this road in the 1800's.
