This pink granite Oklahoma Historical Marker is on the north side of Highway 51, just east of N2760 Road. There is a pull out large enough to park completely off of the highway. The marker describes the history of Lacey. The text on the marker is:
LACEY
Serving as a Post Office from 1890 to 1909, the town was named for John F. Lacey from Iowa who served as a member of the Congressional Committee on Indian Affairs and Chairman of the Committee on Public Lands which opened Oklahoma Territory to homesteaders in 1889.
