Along the banks of the Gouwe canal, I saw this odd sign. It is a square sign with the number 6. I've rechearched it online and it seems that there is a speed limit of 6 km/h for boats and ships in the Gouwe canal at this point. This is because of the junction between the Gouwe canal and the Nieuwe Gouwe. The other signs mean: be careful (thick vertical bar), hold more than 10 m distance from the bank of the canal (the sign with 10 m) and forbidden to pass (the sign with two arrows).
