The random coursed stone single storey building constructed in 1899 has a front facade in three sections decorated with detailed sculptured animal heads (sheep, cow and pig). The gabled parapet has a central Dutch gable and stucco finials .
The company supplied the shipping industry via a tunnel connecting the shop with the wharf running under Ellen Street
