The Port Pirie Railway Station constructed in 1902 is a brick and stone building with an ornate verandah with wrought iron decoration (brackets and frieze). There is an enclosed tower over the central roof and smaller cupolas at each end of verandah with flagpoles. The verandah and cupolas roofed in decorative patterned sheet metal.
